Networking

Networking

Many of the current jobs available are never advertised. You hear about these jobs through contacts with people that you know. So, get out and make yourself visible and let others know what you can do for them! Several ways to network are:
  • Attend career and job fairs
  • Be active in major-related student organizations (some sponsor company site visits or have professional speakers)
  • Develop a list of possible contacts provided by faculty, advisors, friends, family or past employers (talk to everyone you know and ask for referrals)
  • Conduct Informational Interviews
