Informational Interviews
Q: Why would I want to participate in an informational interview?
A: An informational interview gives you an opportunity to speak directly with someone working in a field that interests you. You are able to ask that person many different questions, including any areas that are of concern you.
Q: Why would someone want to take the time to talk to me? Won’t I be bothering the person?
A: Most people enjoy talking about themselves, like to mentor students, and would not feel like talking to you would be an imposition. If they have a very busy schedule and are not able to meet with you, they will let you.
