Q: Why would I want to take an assessment?

A: Our career assessments may assist you in identifying your interests, personality characteristics and values and how they relate to different career possibilities.

 

Q: How do I go about taking a career assessment?

A: We have several different assessments available. They may all be taken on the web from any computer that has web access. Some of them are self-guided and some require interpretation with a career counselor. Please see the detailed explanations provided in this section for further information.

 

Q: After taking the assessment how do I find out more about various careers?

A: We have web resources like Choices Planner and the Occupational Outlook Handbook that will provide you with detailed descriptions of job tasks, educational requirements and salary information.

 

Q: What is meant by Holland’s Typology?

A: If you have completed an assessment that refers to the following terms: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, or conventional then you are dealing with Holland’s Typology.
